Name a state, and Sloar can tell you its capital. All 50 of them. That kind of quick recall comes in handy on the radio, where he’s been since 2003. His career started in college, when a friend who knew a program director helped him land an interview, and that turned into an internship with a veteran rock host. Since then, he’s hosted mornings, afternoon drive, nights, overnights, and weekends across Top 40, country, classic rock, and rock. His proudest moment came while hosting a country morning show, when he finally beat the longtime top-rated station in town after years of going head to head. On the air, he’s energetic, irreverent, and fun.

Sloar grew up in Florida, so it’s no surprise you’ll find him relaxing at the beach when he’s off the mic. He’s also a big college football and basketball fan and always up for trying a new restaurant, especially one that serves hot garlic breaded chicken wings. He shares his life with Kelli and his daughter, Emarie, and he supports the ALS Association, children’s charities, and his college alumni association. His playlist includes Shinedown, New Found Glory, and Yellowcard, his first concert was Bush and Default, and 3 Doors Down’ “Kryptonite” never gets skipped.
