Real-time mobile data illustrates a cluster of Ft. Lauderdale beach goers dispersing across the country
A company did a video showing the importance of social distancing. They showed a map of a Ft. Lauderdale beach that was being used by spring breakers. The company was able to zero-in on the data of mobile devices used on that beach during that time. And then they tracked those devices as they left and spread out to half of the country, mostly in the Midwest and east coast. A few devices even made it to the west coast. Keep in mind, this does NOT mean that all who gathered at a given beach were infected but rather illustrates how serious we should take social distancing efforts.
