Supermodel Kate Upton, the wife of three-time Cy Young Award-winning free agent pitcher Justin Verlander, shared a concerning, cryptic post about a "dad" who was "recently out of rehab" on her Instagram story Friday (November 15).

"Truly asking...lawyers/judges/advocates/law enforcement/parents: A Dad, recently out of rehab, is traveling alone with his 10-year-old daughter," Upton wrote, along with a request for feedback from her followers.. "He gets drunk and high on pills, says he has a gun on him, and threatens to SHOOT the taxi driver if he does NOT drop them off on the highway at midnight to walk home. Thankfully, the taxi driver refuses and would rather be shot than drop the little girl off on the highway.

"Is this an emergency? A crime? Would you be scared for your child?"

Upton, 32, didn't provide additional context or confirmation on whether the scenario she discussed was one she personally experienced. Page Six said it reached out to the model's rep for comment which was not immediately returned.

Upton has been married to Verlander, 41, since 2017 and, although they don't share a 10-year-old, they do have a 6-year-old daughter. The couple hasn't faced any rumblings of marital issues.

Upton was the cover model for the 2012, 2013 and 2017 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issues and the 100th anniversary issue of Vanity Fair, as well as a credited actress in the films Tower Heist, The Other Woman and The Layover. Verlander is a nine-time All-Star, two-time World Series champion, three-time American League Cy Young Award winner and the American League MVP and pitching Triple Crown leader for the 2011 season.
