Delray Beach's Coco Gauff will compete in her first-ever Wimbledon semi-final on Thursday.

The 22-year-old winning the all-American match over Jessica Pegula in the quarter finals, becoming the youngest player to reach the semifinals at all four Grand Slams since 2007.

Fourth-seeded Pegula is Gauff's former doubles partner, and she took the first set before No. 7 seed Gauff rallied for a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 victory.

"Pretty insane honestly considering I hadn't won a match on grass in two years before this tournament," Gauff said in her post-match interview.

"I'm definitely happy with how I played today."

Gauff will battle tenth-seed Karolina Muchova in the semi-final. Muchova of Czechia beat Naomi Osaka in straight sets to advance.

Gauff has already won two grand slams, the French in 2023 and the US Open in 2025. The American also won a doubles title at the 2024 French Open with Kateřina Siniaková who replaced her usual partner, Jessica Pegula, who was sidelined by injury.

Gauff's primary training ground is in Delray Beach, Florida, at Pompey Park Tennis Courts.
