Suspected Drunk Driver Claims He Crashed To Avoid An Octopus

Surprisingly, this is NOT a Florida story...

A 49-yr old man told police in Devon, England that he crashed his vehicle when he swerved to avoid an octopus that was in the road. The police did search the stretch of road for signs of an octopus but failed to find one. Coupled with the fact that the crash occurred over 3 miles inland, the police quickly pointed out to the driver that the 'octopus' would have had to cross over hills and several fields to make it to the crash site.
