The marijuana industry has launched an ad campaign aimed at eliminating the term "stoner". When I say industry, I mean indu$try. 

Good luck with that. With decades of TV and movies, it's going to be an uphill battle. 

I hope stoner doesn't become one of those words that is all the sudden offensive. It's like one day a word is totally fine and the next it's super offensive. I'll keep it on my watch list just to be safe.
