1st 2020 Mustang Sells for $1.1 Million
- An Arizona man has become the first person in the world to own a 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 -- and the honor cost him only $1.1 million.
- The car was part of an auction held Saturday in Arizona to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Craig Jackson, the owner of the Scottsdale-based Barrett-Jackson auction house, submitted the winning bid.
- The upcoming addition to the Mustang family features a 5.2 liter, 700 horsepower V8 engine. Ford says the car will be able to travel a quarter-mile in less than 11 seconds, making the 2020 model among the fastest in the world.
