Expect New Music From Greta Van Fleet in 2019

Greta Van Fleet are wrapping up quite the impressive year. The rock band released their debut full-length album, March of the Peaceful Army, over the summer; they played numerous festivals and toured nonstop, and earlier this month were nominated for three Grammys: Best New Artist, Best Rock Performance for their debut single "Highway Tune," and Best Rock Album for their double EP From The Fires.

Billboard recently caught up with the young rockers to discuss what we can expect in the new year.

"A lot more writing, getting some stuff recorded and start working on the next thing," bassist Sam Kiszka said of the band's plans in 2019.

When asked if they were planning on releasing new music, the members didn't hesitate.

"Oh yeah, absolutely. I'll quit if we don’t," drummer Danny Wagner said.

"We'll all quit," frontman Josh Kiszka said in agreement. "We’re parting ways if we don't release new music."

Though they didn't reveal a timeline for the alleged new tunes, the band did admit they've been working on new material since releasing their freshman album in July.

Aside from working on new music, the Detroit classic rock revivalists will also be touring the globe next year in support of the recently released album. Check out a list of tour dates here.
