Is Green Day Working on New Music?

It's been two years, two months, and three days since Green Day released their 12th studio album, Revolution Radio (but who's counting?). However, we might not have to wait too much longer to hear new music.

During a recent Instagram live stream, Billie Joe Armstrong slid in a comment that fans quickly grasped onto. "I'm writing new songs for gd now," the frontman wrote. A fan account swiftly took a screenshot of the message and posted it on Instagram.

Though this is pretty vague info, to know the band is working on new material is exciting.

Check out the comment below.

New music from Green Day may not be all Armstrong is working on. Last month, he hinted that there's something in the works from Foxboro Hottubs, his side project with bandmates Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool, Green Day touring members Jason White (going by Frosco Lee) and Jason Freese, and Prima Donna's Kevin Preston.

Armstrong posted an iTunes screenshot of "She's a Saint Not a Celebrity" off the band's one and only album Stop Drop and Roll!!! on the Instagram account of his other side project, The Longshot. "Next week Jumping in some rehearsal time with these big lugs .." he captioned the photo.

Though he hasn't divulged any information since then, it sounds like Green Day fans will have a lot to look forward to in 2019!
