Why Was a Florida Man Arrested on a Beer Run?
- A word of advice... Don't bring an alligator with you on a beer run.
- 28-year-old Robert Timothy Barr was arrested on Wednesday along with 23-year-old Scott Keenem. Both men were charged with illegal possession of an a American alligator.
- Barr carried a live alligator into a Jacksonville convenience store to get some beer and ran around inside the business with the reptile tucked under his arm.
- The men were also charged with illegal exhibition of dangerous wildlife and cruelty to animals. The alligator was 4 to 5 feet long. Barr had been drinking that night and couldn't remember how he wound up with the alligator.
