Metallica are sharing a preview of their upcoming appearance on Apple Music’s “Carpool Karaoke” series.“A few of you who watched the Grammys back in February may have  noticed during one of the commercial breaks that we took a spin around  the Los Angeles area with comedian and actor Billy Eichner,” says the band. “With  James behind the wheel, we did a little backseat driving and singing  and even made a pit stop for some grocery shopping! We know this has  been on your radar for some time and are happy to report that our  episode of Carpool Karaoke will see the light of day next week on  Tuesday, August 15th on Apple Music.”The preview features Metallica and Eichner rocking out to a  Disney soundtrack tune and one of Rihanna’s biggest hits, as well as  their grocery shopping experience.“We’re big fans of ‘The Late Late Show With James Corden’ where  ‘Carpool Karaoke’ was born (and will continue to live) and created a  viral sensation, so we jumped at the chance to be a part of it,” adds the group. “Fire up whatever device you stream video on and drive, sing and laugh along with us!”The Apple Music version of the series launched this week with Corden and Will Smith; two new episodes will be released each week. Future guests include Trevor Noah, Michael Strahan, Jeff Gordon, John Legend, Alicia Keys, LeBron James and Shakira, among others.Learn more about Carpool Karaoke at Apple Music.Metallica are currently in the final week of the summer North American leg of their WorldWired tour in support of 2016’s “Hardwired…To Self-Destruct.”The stadium run will wrap up in Edmonton, AB on August 16 before the group heads to Europe for a fall arena tour.


Def Leppard are streaming their mini-documentary, “Step Inside: Hysteria At 30”, in sync with the recent release of a series of 30th anniversary reissues of the group’s fourth album, “Hysteria.”The video project gives fans an inside look at the making of the  biggest-selling record of the band’s career, with more than 25 million  copies sold worldwide – including 10 million in the US.Produced by Mutt Lange, “Hysteria” delivered seven singles: “Animal”, “Women”, “Rocket”, the US Top 5 tracks “Pour Some Sugar On Me”, “Hysteria” and “Armageddon It”, and the US No. 1 “Love Bites.”The  newly-remastered edition of the record is available in various  packages, including a 7-disc Super Deluxe Edition, 3CD Deluxe Version,  1CD Vanilla Version, 2-LP Black Vinyl Version and a limited edition 2-LP  Colored Vinyl Version. The reissues include B-sides and live tracks, plus the audio for “In The Round In Your Face (Live)” on CD for the first time.Def Leppard will begin a series of shows in South America with an appearance at Olympic Park in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on September 21.



Anthrax singer Joey Belladonna performed the U.S. national  anthem at New Era Field in Orchard Park, NY on August 10 prior to the  start of a Buffalo Bills home game against the Minnesota Vikings in NFL  pre-season action, and video from the event is available.The Belladonna appearance followed a recent run of US festival dates by  the New York rockers, including Wisconsin’s Rock Fest and Rock USA and  Chicago Open Air.Anthrax spent most of the summer playing shows on the European festival circuit in support of their latest album, “For All Kings.”In February, the group released an expanded tour edition of the project, which featured the 2016 record alongside the track “Vice Of The People” – previously only available in Japan – as well as a bonus disc of demo versions of several of the album's songs.Drummer Charlie Benante recently confirmed that the band have begun the songwriting process for the follow-up to “For All Kings.”Anthrax are next scheduled to perform at Knotfest in Toluca, Mexico on October 28.
